WELCOME HOME, EMAWAY!

This past Sunday, our friends/neighbors, the Womacks, returned from Ethopia with their beautiful adopted daughter. They had a ton of friends and family at the airport to welcome them all home. I sure had a difficult time taking pictures through all of my tears! A friend who was there told me she looked up and saw me put my camera down, wipe both of my eyes and start taking pictures again. :) I had to do that numerous times...


I love the looks on their faces as they see just how MANY people there are there!



This was Emaway meeting and hugging her grandma (Betty) for the first time. Betty started working for us last fall and is one beautiful, sweet, creative and talented lady. Emaway is such a blessed girl!

The sign says "Welcome" in Emaway's native language, Amharic. Shelley, her mom, told me yesterday that they just found out about someone who lives in Siloam Springs who lived in Ethiopia for many years and speaks Amharic fluently. I know she will be a huge help since Emaway speaks very little English.

There is an amazing story and LONG journey to get her and we are all SO glad that Emaway is finally home!!
